Is-sinjal għal DIJABETE jsir b’id waħda li jieħu l-forma ta’ D, bil-werrej maħruġ u s-swaba’ l-oħra jmissu l-ponta tas-saba’ l-kbir. Is-swaba’ jimxu u jmissu max-xufftejn waqt li l-pala tħares lejn il-ġenb u l-werrej jibqa’ mtella’ ’l fuq. Is-swaba jinfetħu u jingħalqu waqt li l-id tibqa’ sejra lejn il-ġenb.
The sign for DIABETES is made with one hand that takes the shape for D with the index finger extended and the other fingers touching the tip of the thumb. The fingers move along and brush against the lips whilst the palm faces the side and the index finger remains extended upwards. The fingers open and shut whilst the hand continues to move to the side.
