Is-sinjal għal GĦERUQ għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għall-ittra R, l-ewwel ittra tal-kelma roots bl-Ingliż. Il-pala tħares ’il barra. (ii) Imbagħad, l-id tinbidel forma ta’ Q. Is-saba’ l-kbir u l-werrej qrib xulxin fuq il-ġenb tal-ġbin bil-pala tħares ’il barra jew lejn il-ġenb.
The sign for ROOTS has two parts. (i) First the sign for the letter R, the first letter of the English word roots is made. The palm faces outwards. (ii) Then the hand changes to the shape of Q. The thumb and the index finger lie close to each other on the side of the forehead with the palm facing outwards or towards the side.
