Is-sinjal għal GĦERUSIJA jsir biż-żewġ idejn. Id-waħda tieqaf forma ta’ 5 bis-swaba’ mifrudin u bil-pala tħares ’l isfel fuq quddiem fin-nofs. L-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ B bis-swaba’ kkurvati u bil-pala tħares ’il barra. In-naħa ta’ wara tas-saba’ l-kbir jolqot l-id il-wieqfa minn fuq xi tlett darbiet jew iktar.
The sign for ENGAGEMENT is made with both hands. One hand is held stationary in the shape of 5 with fingers apart and palm facing downwards at the front in the middle. The other hand takes the shape of B with fingers curved and palm facing outwards. The back of the thumb of this hand hits the top of the stationary hand three or more times.
