Is-sinjal għal GĦOLJA jsir b’id waħda li tifforma 5 magħluq bis-swaba’ jħarsu ’l barra u bil-pala tħares laġenba. L-id titla’ f’linja djagonali mill-ġenb u terġa’ tinżel għan-naħa l-oħra, qisha qed tagħmel forma ta’ V bil-maqlub biex turi l-forma ta’ għolja.

Varjazzjoni ta’ dan is-sinjal isir biż-żewġ idejn. L-idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluq. Id waħda tieqaf fil-ġenb bil-pala nofsha ’l isfel u nofsha laġenba. L-id l-oħra titla’ minn fuq l-id wieqfa għan-nofs livell għola mir-ras. Imbagħad terġa tinżel għan-naħa l-oħra tal-id wieqfa u livell magħha fuq in-naħa l-oħra tagħha.

The sign for HILL is made with one hand in the shape of closed 5 with the fingers pointing outwards and the palm facing sideways. The hand moves upwards from the side to head level. It then comes down again from the other side, as though forming an upside down V shape, the shape of a hill.

A variation of this sign is made with both hands. The hands take the shape of closed 5. One hand is held stationary, with the palm facing half downwards and half sideways. The other hand moves up from the stationary hand to the middle, over head level. It then moves down to the same level but to the opposite side from the stationary hand.
