Hemm żewġ sinjali għal XAGĦRA. L-ewwel sinjal għandu żewġ partijiet. L-ewwel il-werrejja taż-żewġ idejn jiffurmaw X waqt li l-pala tħares ’l isfel. Imbagħad id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ F u taqbad ftit xagħar mill-ġenb tar-ras bis-saba’ l-kbir u l-werrej.
It-tieni sinjal isir b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ 1 bil-pala ta’ l-id tħares ’il barra. Il-werrej jifforma X kbira fl-arja billi jimxi minn naħa għall-oħra ’l isfel f’linja djagonali imbagħad jerġa’ jagħmel l-istess imma jibda minn naħa l-oħra. Ix-xufftejn jieħdu l-forma għal x, li tixbaħ il-forma għall-vokali “u”.
There are two signs for XAGĦRA. The first sign has two parts. First the index fingers of both hand form an X whilst the palms face downwards. Then one hand takes the shape of F and with the thumb and index finger hold some hair from the side of the head.
The second sign is made with one hand in the shape of 1 with palm facing outwards. The index finger forms a large X in the air by moving from one side to the other downwards and diagonally and repeating this starting from the opposite side. The lips form the shape for x similar to the shape for the vowel “u”.
