Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluq u tieqaf bil-pala ta’ l-id tħares laġenba. L-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ V bil-pala ta’ l-id tħares ’l isfel. L-id tintlewa mill-polz ’il barra u ’il ġewwa qisha l-furketta iddur ma’ l-imgħarfa waqt li wieħed ikun jiekol l-ispagetti.
The sign for CATANIA consists of two parts. (i) First, the sign for the letter C, the first letter in the placename Catania, is made. (ii) Then the sign for SICILY is made. One hand takes the shape of closed 5 with the palm facing sideways. The other hand takes the shape of V with the palm facing downwards. The hand twists outwards and inwards at the wrist like the movement of a fork on a spoon when spaghetti is being eaten.
