Is-sinjal għal KOKKA għandu żewġ jew tlett partijiet: (jew i) Id-dirgħajn jintlwew mill-minkeb biex l-idejn u l-polz jiġu wieqfa. L-idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5, bil-pala tħares ’il barra. Il-polz jibqa’ wieqaf u l-idejn bil-forma ta’ 5 jiċċaqilqu ’l barra ’l fuq u ’l isfel bħall-ġwienaħ. Din l-ewwel parti spiss titħalla barra. (jew ii) Waħda mill-idejn tieħu l-forma ta’ X bil-pala tħares ’l isfel, tmiss ma’ l-imnieħer u tmil ’l isfel mill-polz; (jew iii) Imbagħad, l-idejn it-tnejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ O bil-pala tħares laġenba. L-idejn jitqiegħdu quddiem l-għajnejn.

Is-sinjal għal KOKKA ŻGĦIRA huwa magħmul mis-sinjal għal KOKKA u s-sinjal għal ŻGĦIRA. Is-sinjal għal ŻGĦIR u għal KBIR isir mill-idejn forma ta’ 5 bl-idejn iħarsu lejn xulxin f’linja vertikali. Id-distanza ta’ bejn l-idejn tindika d-daqs tal-kokka.

Għall-plural, is-sinjal għal ĦAFNA jiġi wara is-sinjal għal KOKKA. Ġieli tintuża l-id forma ta’ 8 mgħawweġ, bil-pala tħares ‘l isfel, bħala classifier. Din titqiegħed f’ħafna punti fiż-żona tas-sinjali qisu hemmhekk qed jitqiegħdu ħafna kokok.

This sign for OWL is made up of three parts: (jew i) The arms are bent at the elbows so that the hands and wrist are upright. The hands are in the shape of a 5, with palm facing down. The wrists are still whilst the hands in the shape of a 5 move up and down beyond the sides, like wings. This first part is often omitted. (jew ii) One hand in the shape of X and palm facing down touches the nose and bends down from the wrist. (jew iii) Then both hands form an O shape with palms facing sideways. They are placed over the eyes.

The sign for a baby owl is the sign for OWL followed by the sign for BABY or for SMALL. The sign for SMALL or BIG is made with both hands in the shape of 5. The palms face each other in a vertical direction. The distance between the hands indicates the size of the owl.

The sign for MANY is used after the sign for OWL to signal plurality. Sometimes the hand in the curved 8 shape, with palm facing the ground, is used as a classifier. The hand is placed in several places in the signing space as though many owls were being placed there.

When the noun OWL is the subject of a verb of movement, the hand in the curved 8 shape, with palm facing the ground, becomes the classifier, and moves according to the action.
