Is-sinjal għal IMTARFA jsir biż-żewġ idejn li jitqiegħdu quddiem, ’l fuq mir-ras. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluq bil-pala tħares ’il quddiem, ftit laġenba. L-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ 1 bil-pala tħares ’il barra waqt li titqiegħed bil-ġenb mal-pala ta’ l-ewwel id. L-id tintlewa mill-polz waqt li il-werrej idur mal-pala ta’ l-id l-oħra qisu l-minutiera ta’ l-arloġġ.
The sign for MTARFA is made with both hands. One hand takes the shape of closed 5 with palm facing sideways as it stands upright from the elbow with palm facing outwards, a little to the side. The other hand takes the shape of 1 with the palm facing outwards as it is held with the side against the palm of the first hand. The hand bends at the wrist as the index finger turns round the palm of the other hand like the hand of a clock.
