Hemm żewġ sinjali għal LIBRERIJA. L-ewwel sinjal isir biż-żewġ idejn li jieħdu l-forma ta’ L bil-pala tħares ’l isfel u bil-ponot tal-werrejja imissu jew jirkbu ftit fuq xulxin. L-idejn iduru mill-polz biex il-pala tiġi tħares ’il fuq waqt li l-werrejja jibqgħu jmissu.
It-tieni sinjal għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) Fl-ewwel parti jsir is-sinjal għal KAMRA. L-idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 1 bil-pala tal-id tħares ’il barra. Il-werrej ta’ id imiss mal-werrej tal-id l-oħra. L-idejn jitbiegħdu laġenba imbagħad ’l isfel u jiffurmaw linja b’angolu rett. Imbagħad jerġgħu jimxu lejn in-nofs sakemm jiltaqgħu. (ii) Fit-tieni parti id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ C magħluqa bis-swaba’ jmissu s-saba’ l-kbir qishom qed iżommu xi ktieb mill-ispina. L-id titla’ ’l fuq f’xi żewġ punti differenti qisha qed tqiegħed xi kotba fuq l-ixkaffa.
There are two signs for LIBRARY. The first sign is made with both hands in the shape of L with the palms facing downwards and with the tips of the index fingers touching or slightly overlapping. The hands then turn over from the wrist so that the palms face upwards whilst the index fingers remain in contact.
The second sign consists of two parts. (i) First the sign for ROOM is made with both hands that take the shape of 1 with the palms facing outwards. The index fingers touch each other and then move to the side and then downwards forming a right angle, then back to the middle until the index fingers meet again. (ii) The second part is made with one hand in the shape of closed C with the fingers touching the thumb as though holding a book from the spine. The hand moves up to two or more places as though placing books on the shelf.
