Is-sinjal għal MAĠISTRAT isir biż-żewġ idejn. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 miftuħa u bis-swaba’ mbegħdin minn xulxin u tieqaf fil-ġenb livell tas-sider bil-pala tħares ’l isfel. L-id l-oħra, fil-ġenb l-ieħor, tieħu l-forma ta’ T bil-pala tħares ’l isfel u togħla u tinżel mill-polz qisu qed tħabbat il-martell fl-awla tal-qorti.
The sign for MAGISTRATE is made with both hands. One hand takes the shape of open 5 with fingers wide apart. The hand is held stationary at one side with palm facing downwards at chest level. The other hand, on the other side, takes the shape of T with palm facing downwards. It rises and falls at the wrist as though using the court mallet.
