Is-sinjal għal ORS isir biż-żewġ idejn li jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 kkurvata fuq il-livell tal-ispalla waqt li d-dirgħajn ikunu kważi vertikali u l-pala ta’ kull id tħares ’il barra. Imbagħad jintefgħu ’l quddiem, ftit ’l isfel u mdawrin ftit ’l ġewwa.

Is-sinjal għal TARBIJA jew is-sinjal għal ŻGĦIR jiġi wara s-sinjal għal ORS biex jirreferi għall-ferħ. The sign for BEAR is made with both hands in the shape of a curved 5 at shoulder level with the arms in almost vertical position and with palms facing outwards and then extending forward and slightly downwards and inwards in a curve.

The signs for BABY or for SMALL are used after the sign for BEAR to refer to a cub. The sign for SMALL or the sign for BIG are made with two hands in the shape of Ċ, palms facing each other, after the sign for BEAR. The distance between the hands indicates the relative size of the bear. These signs are used after the sign for BEAR.

The sign for MANY is used after the sign for BEAR to express the plural. A classifier is often used. In this case one or both hands in the shape of curved V is placed at various points in the signing space as though several bears were actually being put into that space.

When the noun BEAR is the subject of a verb of movement, the hand in the shape of curved V or curved 5 is used as the classifier, and moves according to the action indicated by the verb.
