Is-sinjal għal PANTERA għandu żewġ partijiet: (jew i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għal ORS. Id waħda jew iż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 mgħawweġ ma’ l-għoli ta’ l-ispalla imma jintefgħu ’l quddiem bil-pala tal-id tħares lejn l-art. L-idejn jimxu f’kurva ftit ’il fuq u tond ’l isfel bħall-mossa ta’ pantera li jkun se tattakka. (jew ii) Fit-tieni parti jsir is-sinjal għal ISWED, jiġifieri, id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ A bil-pala ta’ l-id laġenba. Is-saba’ l-kbir jitqiegħed fuq l-għonq mal-ġenb u jinżel imxaqleb f’linja djagonali, ’l ġewwa u ’l isfel.
Għal PANTERA żgħir jew kbir, is-sinjali għal ŻGĦIR u għal KBIR, isiru b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 bil-pala ‘l isfel u tiġi wara s-sinjal għal PANTERA. Id-distanza bejn l-art u l-id tindika d-daqs tal-pantera.
GħaIl-plural is-sinjal għal ĦAFNA jintuża wara s-sinjal għal PANTERA. Ġieli ukoll tintuża classifier. F’dan il-każ tintuża l-id jew l-idejn fil-forma ta’ V mgħawġa li jitpoġġew f’ħafna punti fiż-żona tas-sinjali qisu hemmhekk qed jitqiegħdu ħafna panteri.
Meta n-nom PANTERA jkun is-suġġett ta’ verb ta’ moviment, l-id tieħu l-forma ta’ V mgħawġa jew ta’ 5 mgħawweġ tintuża bħala classifier u timxi skond l-azzjoni.
This sign is made up of two parts: (jew i) First the sign for BEAR is made with one or both hands at shoulder level but extending forward in the shape of a curved 5 with palms almost facing the ground. The hands make a curved movement slightly upwards and out, like the panther about to attack. (jew ii) In the second part the sign for BLACK is made, that is, one hand takes the shape of A with palm sideways. The thumb is placed at the side of the neck and moves diagonally down and inwards.
To refer to a small or large panther, the signs for SMALL and BIG are made with one hand in the shape of 5 palm down after the sign for PANTHER. The distance between the ground and the hand indicates the relative size of the panther.
The sign for MANY is used after the sign for PANTHER to express the plural. A classifier is often used. In this case one or both hands in the shape of curved V are placed at various points in the signing space as though several panthers were actually being put into that space.
When the noun PANTHER is the subject of a verb of movement, the hand in the shape of curved V or curved 5 is used as the classifier and moves according to the action indicated by the verb.
