Is-sinjal għal PENNE għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal imqassar għal GĦAĠIN. Id waħda tieqaf forma ta’ 5 bil-pala tħares ’il fuq. L-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ V bil-pala tħares ’l isfel. Is-swaba’ tal-V iduru ftit waqt li jogħlew ’il fuq mil-pala tal-id il-wieqfa. (ii) Imbagħad l-idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 u jitqiegħdu pala tħares lejn l-oħra, bil-ponot tas-swaba’ jħarsu ’l fuq, mxenglin djagonalment lejn il-ġenb ftit ’il bogħod minn xulxin.
The sign for PENNE has two parts. (i) First the shortened sign for PASTA is made. One hand is held stationary in the shape of 5 with palm facing upwards. The other hand takes the shape of V with palm facing downwards. The V fingers turn a little as the hand moves upwards over the palm of the stationary hand. (ii) Then the hands take the shape of 5 and are placed with palms facing and fingertips pointing upwards. The hands are bent diagonally towards the side a little away from each other.
