Is-sinjal għal PIXXISPAD għandu żewġ partijiet: (jew i) L-ewwel parti huwa s-sinjal għal ĦUTA. Dan isir b’id waħda bil-forma ta’ 5 bil-pala ta’ l-id tħares ’il ġewwa u l-id timxi f’linja kkurvata kemmkemm ’l fuq u ’l isfel fid-direzzjoni opposta. (jew ii) Għat-tieni parti tas-sinjal l-id tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 kkurvata bil-pala tħares lejn il-ġenb. L-id timxi ‘l barra xi distanza minn quddiem il-ħalq. Ġieli l-ewwel parti ssir wara t-tieni parti.
Is-sinjal għal ŻGĦIR u s-sinjal għal KBIR isiru miż-żewġ idejn forma ta’ Ċ ‘il bogħod minn xulxin skond il-kobor tal-pixxispad. Is-sinjal għal PIXXISPAD jiġi qabel is-sinjal għal ŻGĦIR jew KBIR.
Is-sinjal għal ĦAFNA jintuża għaIl-plural wara s-sinjal għal PIXXISPAD. Ġieli ukoll tintuża classifier. F’dan il-każ, id waħda jew iż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ Ċ u jitpoġġew f’ħafna punti fiż-żona tas-sinjali qisu hemmhekk qed jitqiegħdu ħafna pixxispad.
Meta n-nom PIXXISPAD ikun is-suġġett ta’ verb ta’ moviment, id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 laġenba bil-pala ta’ l-id ‘il ġewwa, tintuża bħala classifier u timxi skond l-azzjoni.
The sign for SWORDFISH is made up of two parts: (jew i) The first part is the sign for FISH. One hand takes the form of 5, palm facing inwards, and moves up and down in a curved line towards the opposite direction. (jew ii) The second part is made with one hand in the shape of curved 5, palm facing sideways. The hand moves some distance from the front of the mouth outwards. Often the second part of the sign is made before the first.
The sign for SMALL or the sign for BIG made with two hands in the shape of C are used and the distance between the hands indicates the relative size of the swordfish. The sign for SWORDFISH is used before the sign for SMALL or BIG.
The sign for MANY is used after the sign for SWORDFISH to signal the plural. A classifier is often used. In this case one or both hands take the shape of Ċ. They are placed at various points in the signing space as though several swordfish were actually being put into that space.
When the noun SWORDFISH is used as the subject of a verb of movement, one hand takes the shape of 5 with palm facing inwards. It becomes the classifier, moving according to the action.
