Is-sinjal għal SQALLIJA jsir biż-żewġ idejn. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluq bis-swaba’ stirati u milwija lura mill-għekiesi u bil-pala ta’ l-id tħares ’il fuq u ftit laġenba. L-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ V bil-pala ta’ l-id tħares ’l isfel. L-id tintlewa mill-polz ’il barra u ’il ġewwa qisha l-furketta iddur ma’ l-imgħarfa waqt li wieħed ikun jiekol l-ispagetti.
The sign for SICILY is made with both hands. One hand takes the shape of closed 5 with fingers stretched backwards from the knuckles and with the palm facing upwards and a little sideways. The other hand takes the shape of V with the palm facing downwards. The hand twists outwards and inwards at the wrist like the movement of a fork on a spoon when spaghetti is being eaten.
