Id waħda tieqaf fuq quddiem bil-pala tħares lejn il-ġenb u l-ponta tal-werrej tħares ’il fuq waqt li l-id l-oħra titqiegħed quddiem l-ewwel id bil-pala tħares ’l isfel waqt li l-ponta tal-werrej tħares lejn il-ġenb. B’hekk il-werrejja jiffurmaw salib, is-simbolu ta’ plus fil-matematika.
The sign for ADD or PLUS is made with both hands in the shape of 1. One hand is held stationary at the front with the palm facing the side and the fingertip of the index finger pointing upwards whilst the other hand is placed in front of the first hand with palm facing downwards and the fingertip of the index finger pointing towards the side. In this way the index fingers form the mathematical plus symbol.
