Is-sinjal għal ABBANDUNA jsir biż-żewġ idejn bil-pala tħares ’l isfel. Jimxu ħdejn xulxin minn-nofs djagonalment ’l isfel bi skoss għal ġenb waqt li jibdlu l-forma minn-ponn li jinfetaħ għal 5 miftuħ bis-swaba’ mifrudin. Hemm bosta varjanti tas-sinjal. Il-forma tal-id tinbidel imma il-moviment bi skoss ’il barra jibqa.
The sign for ABANDON is made with both hands with palms facing downwards. The hands move from the centre, close to each other, diagonally and jerkily downwards to the side as they change from fist shape and open into an open 5 shape with fingers apart. There are a number of variants of the sign. The handshape may differ but the jerky movement outwards is kept.
