Is-sinjal għal ABSEILING għandu żewġ partijiet. L-ewwel parti ssir biż-żewġ idejn li jieħdu l-forma ta’ ponn bil-werrej ftit maħruġ ’il barra u bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa. Hekk, l-idejn qishom qed iżommu ħabel jew arblu. Għat-tieni parti, id waħda tieqaf livell mal-għonq u bil-pala tħares lejn il-ġenb waqt li l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ U bil-pala tħares lejn il-pala tal-id il-wieqfa. Iż-żewġt iswaba’ maħruġin itaptpu fuq l-id il-wieqfa, l-ewwel ’il fuq nett tal-id fuq is-swaba’, imbagħad f’nofs il-pala u fl-aħħar fuq il-polz.

The sign for ABSEILING has two parts. The first part is made with both hands that take the shape of a fist with the index fingers protruding and the palms facing inwards to resemble the hands holding a rope or a pole. For the second part, one hand is held stationary at neck level with the palm facing the side whilst the other hand takes the shape of U with palm facing the stationary hand. The two protruding fingers tap the palm of the stationary hand, first at the top on the fingers, then in the middle of the palm and finally at the wrist.
