Is-sinjal għal AFGANISTAN għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel, id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluq u bil-pala ta’ l-id tħares ’l isfel. L-id iddur kemm kemm ’il fuq mir-ras mingħajr ma jkun hemm kuntatt. (ii) L-id tkompli nieżla ’l isfel bis-saba’ l-kbir stirat ’il barra. Is-saba’ l-kbir u s-swaba’ l-oħra jmissu x-xedaq waqt li jersqu qrib xulxin u jinżlu ’l isfel bħallikieku qed tmelles il-baffi twila.
The sign for AFGHANISTAN has two parts. (i) First, one hand takes the shape of closed 5 with the palm facing down. The hand rotates just over the head without touching. (ii) Then the hand keeps the form of 5 but with outstretched thumb. The thumb and the fingers touch the chin as they move close to each other. Then the hand moves straight down as though stroking a long beard.
