Hemm żewġ sinjali differenti għal AFRIKA. L-ewwel sinjal isir b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ A bil-pala ta’ l-id tħares ’il ġewwa. L-id iddur mal-wiċċ.

It-tieni sinjal isir b’id waħda forma ta’ 5 miftuħa bis-swaba’ dritti u mbegħdin minn xulxin. Il-pala tal-id tħares ’il barra waqt li l-id timxi f’nofs ċirku minn quddiem is-sider lejn il-ġenb billi titgħawweġ mill-polz u s-swaba’ jingħalqu.

Fil każ tas-sinjal għal AFRIKA TA’ FUQ isir ukoll is-sinjal għal FUQ wara s-sinjal għal AFRIKA, jiġifieri, id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 1 u l-id timxi f’linja dritta ’l fuq. Is-sinjali għal FUQ ikomplu mill-ewwel wara s-sinjal għal AFRIKA bħala kontinwazzjoni ta’ l-istess sinjal.

There are two signs for AFRICA. The first sign is made with one hand which takes the shape of A with the palm facing inwards. The hand rotates around the face.

The second sign is made with one hand in the shape of 5 with fingers outstretched and apart. The hand moves, with palm facing outwards, from in front of the chest to the side in a semi-circle, twisting at the wrist. The fingers then come together.

In the case of the sign for NORTH AFRICA, the sign for UP is made after the sign for AFRICA, that is, one hand takes the shape of 1 and moves in a straight line upwards. The sign for UP follows that for AFRICA immediately as a continuation of the same sign.
