The sign for ACCOMMODATION may not realy form a compound sign but rather a phrase of three to five parts. (i) The first part is the sign for PLACE. This is made with one hand that takes the shape of a curved 5 with the palm facing downwards. The hand is placed at the front. (ii) The second part is the sign for WHERE, that is, one hand takes the shape of 5 with the palm facing upwards. The hand makes a small circular movement keeping the same shape. (iii) The third part is the sign for SLEEP, that is, one hand takes the shape of closed 5. The hand is placed at the side of the head which bends sideways and rests on the palm of the hand. (iv) Sometimes the sign for HOUSE is used instead of or as well as the sign for SLEEP, that is, one hand takes the shape of closed 5 bent at the knuckles. The hand is placed at the side of the head. (v) The sign for HOTEL is occasionally added as well.
