Is-sinal għal ARTAL għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) Fl-ewwel parti jsir is-sinjal għal MEJDA. Iż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluq bil-pala ta’ id tħares ’l isfel f’angolu rett u l-pala ta’ id tiġi tħares lejn l-oħra. (ii) Fit-tieni parti jsir is-sinjal għal KNISJA. Iż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluq bil-pala ta’ id tħares lejn l-oħra. Is-swaba’ jistrieħu kontra xulxin u l-idejn jiffurmaw V bil-maqlub.

The sign for ALTAR has two parts. (i) First, the sign for TABLE is made. Both hands take the shape of closed 5 with palms facing downwards. The hands meet in the middle at chest level, move away towards the sides and them move down at right angles. (ii) The second part is the sign for CHURCH. Both hands take the shape of closed 5 with palms facing each other. The fingers lean against each other so that the hands form an upside-down V shape.
