Is-sinjal għal ARTI jsir biż-żewġ idejn. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 u tieqaf livell tal-ispalla bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa. L-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ U bil-pala tħares ’l ġewwa. Din l-id tinżel żigużajg fil-ġenb minn livell għola mir-ras għal ftit ’l isfel mill-id il-wieqfa. Dan il-moviment ifakkar fit-tpinġija fuq kavallett (easel).
The sign for ART is made with both hands. One hand takes the shape of 5 and lies at shoulder level with palm facing inwards. The other hand takes the shape of U with the palm facing inwards. The hand moves down in a zigzag line from a level above the head to a little below the stationary hand. This movement reminds one of painting on an easel.
