There are two signs for AUSTRALIA. The first sign is made with both hands. The middle fingers and the thumb touch. The hands rotate vertically in a jumping movement up and down twice. Then the hands open up so that the palm faces downwards and the fingers separate. This movement represents the kangaroo’s walk or hop.
The second sign is made with both hands in the shape of bent 5. The hands are raised and lowered in two or more jumps.
