Is-sinjal għal TARBIJA jew is-sinjal għal ŻGĦIR jintużaw mas-sinjal għal BARRI biex jirreferi għall-barri żgħir. Is-sinjali għal ŻGĦIR u għal KBIR magħmulin mill-idejn forma ta’ 5 bil-pala ta’ id waħda tħares lejn l-oħra f’linja vertikali jew djagonali, inkella b’id waħda tħares lejn l-art. Id-distanza bejn l-idejn jew bejn l-id u l-art tindika d-daqs tal-barri.

Fil-plural, is-sinjal għal ĦAFNA jiġi wara s-sinjal għal BARRI. Ġieli ukoll tintuża classifier. F’dan il-każ id waħda jew iż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ V mgħawġa. L-idejn jitpoġġew f’ħafna punti fiż-żona tas-sinjali qisu hemmhekk qed jitqiegħdu ħafna barrin.

Meta n-nom BARRI jkun is-suġġett ta’ verb ta’ moviment tintuża id waħda jew iż-żewġ idejn li jieħdu l-forma ta’ V mgħawġa jew ta’ 5 mgħawweġ bħala classifier u l-id imbagħad timxi skond l-azzjoni.

This sign is made with one hand. The pinkie and the index finger are stretched out, like a horn. The hand is placed on the forehead, in the middle, with the palm facing outwards. The sign reminds one of the bull’s horns.

A variant uses both hands in the shape of F. The hands flutter downwards several times as though they are shaking the red rag used in the Spanish bullfights.

The sign for BABY or the sign for SMALL is used after the sign for BULL to refer to a CALF. The signs for SMALL and for BIG are made with two hands in the shape of 5 with palms facing each other in a vertical or diagonal direction or with one hand facing the ground. The distance between the hands or between the hand and the ground indicates the relative size of the bull.

The plural is formed by adding the sign for MANY after the sign for BULL. A classifier is often used. In this case one or both hands take the shape of curved V. They are placed at various points in the signing space as though several bulls were actually being put into that space.

When the noun BULL is used as the subject of a verb of movement, one or two hands in the shape of curved V or in the shape of curved 5 are used as classifiers and move accordingly.
