Hemm żewġ sinjali differenti għal BASEMENT. L-ewwel sinjal isir biż-żewġ idejn forma ta’ B. Id waħda tieqaf ’il quddiem bil-pala tħares ’l isfel. L-id l-oħra tinżel minn wara l-ewwel id bil-pala tħares ’il barra u bil-ponot tas-swaba’ jħarsu ’l fuq. L-id tibqa’ sejra minn taħt l-ewwel id u tibqa’ ħierġa ’l quddiem.
It-tieni sinjal għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għal DAR b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 milwi mill-għekiesi biex l-id tifforma angolu rett. Il-pala tal-id tħares ’l isfel. L-id titqiegħed fil-ġenb fil-livell tar-ras jew ftit iktar ’l isfel u bis-swaba jħarsu lejn il-ġenb. (ii) It-tieni parti tixbaħ l-ewwel sinjal imma l-pala tat-tieni id tħares ’l isfel waqt li tinżel ’l isfel taħt l-ewwel id u tibqa’ ħierġa ’l barra. L-ewwel parti ġieli ssir wara t-tieni parti tas-sinjal.
There are two signs for BASEMENT. The first sign is made with both hands in the shape of B. One hand lies stationary with palm facing downwards. The other hand moves down from behind the stationary hand, with palm facing outwards and fingertips pointing upwards, then under the first hand and outwards.
The second sign consists of two parts. (i) The first part is the sign for HOUSE. One hand takes the shape of 5 bent at the knuckles such that it forms a right angle. The palm faces downwards. The hand is placed at the side of the face. (ii) The second part resembles the first sign but the palm of the second hand faces downwards whilst it moves down under the first hand and continues outwards. This second part is sometimes made first.
BAXX (FIL-)
Is-sinjal għal BAXX isir b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluq u bil-pala tħares ’l isfel. L-id tinżel għall-livell tal-qadd jew iktar ’l isfel, skond l-enfasi.
LOW (DOWN)
The sign for LOW is made with one hand in the shape of closed 5 with palm facing downwards. The hand moves down to waist level or lower, depending on the emphasis.
