Is-sinjal għal BDOT għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal li jixbaħ dak għal AJRUPLAN. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ Y bil-pala tal-id tħares ’l isfel. L-id timxi min-naħa djagonalment ’il fuq għan-nofs. (ii) Imbagħad iż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ A bis-saba’ l-kbir maħruġ ’il barra u l-idejn jalternaw f’moviment fejn iduru ’l barra u ’l ġewwa ftit ’il bogħod minn xulxin.

Varjant ta’ dan is-sinjal isir bis-sinjal għal XOGĦOL qabel is-sinjal għal AJRUPLAN.

The sign for PILOT consists of two parts. (i) First the sign for AEROPLANE is made. One hand takes the shape of Y with palm facing downwards. The hand moves diagonally from the side to the middle, rising a little as it does so. (ii) Then both hands take the shape of A with thumbs jutting out. The hands rotate forward and inwards alternately a little away from each other.

A variant of this sign uses the sign for WORK before the sign for AEROPLANE. This is made with both hands in the shape of a fist with the palms facing sideways. One fist is placed over the other.
