There are two signs and a number of variants for BOOTS. The first sign uses both hands. One hand is held stationary with the arm stretched out and the palm facing downwards diagonally. The other hand moves over the whole length of the stationary arm from the hand to the elbow. When it reaches the elbow, the first hand bends upwards so that the palm facing straight downwards. The second sign is made with one arm stretched out horizontally and with the palm facing downwards. The other hand takes the shape of C and moves along the stationary hand in contact with the sides. When it reaches the wrist it moves straight upwards with the palm facing inwards.
