Is-sinjal għal BORMLA magħmul minn żewġ partijiet. Fl-ewwel parti jsir is-sinjal għal B, l-ittra fil-bidu ta’ l-isem tal-post. Fit-tieni parti jsir is-sinjal għal BORMA biż-żewġ idejn li jieħdu l-forma ta’ T bil-pala ta’ id tħares lejn il-pala ta’ l-id l-oħra. L-idejn jitqiegħdu ftit ’il bogħod minn xulxin fil-livell tal-qadd qishom qed iżommu xi borma kbira mill-mankijiet fil-ġnub.

Varjazzjoni ta’ dan is-sinjal isir b’sinjal differenti fit-tieni parti. Id waħda fil-forma ta’ 5 magħluq u bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa titqiegħed quddiem il-qadd jew is-sider qisu qed iżżomm xi skutella kbira b’id waħda. L-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ A, qisha qed iżżomm xi mgħarfa ta’ l-injam, u ddur qisha qed tħawwad xi ħaġa bl-imgħarfa. Dan is-sinjal jixbaħ iktar is-sinjal għal SAJJAR.

The sign for COSPICUA consists of two parts. The first part is the sign for the B, the letter at the beginning of the placename. The second part is the sign for POT that is made with both hand in the shape of T with palms facing each other. The hands are placed at waist level as though they were holding a large pot from the side handles.

A variation of this sign is made with a different second part. One hand takes the shape of closed 5 and, with palm facing inwards, is paced in front of the waist or chest as though it were supporting some large bowl there. The other hand takes the shape of A, as though holding a wooden spoon. The hand rotates as though stirring something with the spoon. This sign resembles that for TO COOK.
