Is-sinjal għal DISKO magħmul minn żewġ partijiet. (i) Fl-ewwel parti jsir is-sinjal għal STABBILIMENT, jiġifieri, ż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 1 bil-pala tal-id tħares ’il barra. Il-werrej ta’ id imiss mal-werrej tal-id l-oħra. L-idejn jitbiegħdu laġenba u ’l isfel u jiffurmaw linja b’angolu rett. (ii) Fit-tieni parti jsir is-sinjal għal ŻIFEN, jiġifieri, ż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ ponn, bil-pala tħares laġenba u ftit ’l fuq, u jiċċaqilqu mill-minkeb jew ’il fuq u ’l isfel jew ’l quddiem u lura, bħal meta wieħed ikun qed jiżfen f’diskoteka. L-ispalel ġieli jiċċaqilqu bl-istess ritmu ukoll.
The sign for DISCOTHEQUE consists of two parts. (i) The first part is the sign for ESTABLISHMENT, that is, both hands take the shape of 1 with palms facing outwards. The index fingers touch each other and then move to the side and downwards, forming a right angle. (ii) The second part is the sign for DANCE. Both hands in the shape of a fist, with palms facing sideways and a little upwards, move or rotate up and down from the elbow or forwards and backwards, as in disco dancing. The shoulders often move along the same rhythm as well.
