Dan is-sinjal isir b’ id waħda forma ta’ 5 taħt il-geddum bil-pala tal-id tħares lejn l-art. Is-swaba’ jiċċaqilqu bi tferfira u jmissu ma’ taħt il-geddum. L-id ġieli tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 ftit imgħawġa.
Is-sinjali għal ŻGĦIR u għal KBIR huma magħmulin miż-żewġ idejn forma ta’ 5 bl-idejn iħarsu lejn xulxin f’linja vertikali jew djagonali. Id-distanza bejn l-idejn tindika d-daqs tad-dundjan. Is-sinjal għal DUNDJAN jintuża qabel is-sinjal għal ŻGĦIR jew KBIR.

This sign is made with one hand in the shape of 5 placed palm downwards under the chin. The fingers flicker and touch under the chin. The hand sometimes takes the curved 5 shape instead.
The signs for SMALL and BIG are made with both hands in the shape of 5 with palms facing each other vertically or diagonally. The distance between the hands indicates the relative size of the turkey. The sign for TURKEY is used before the sign for SMALL or BIG.
The sign for MANY is used after the sign for TURKEY to express the plural. A classifier is often used. In this case one or both hands, in the shape of curved V or curved 8, is placed at various points in the signing space as though several turkeys were actually being put into that space.
When the noun TURKEY is the subject of a verb of movement, the hand in the form of curved 8 is used as a classifier and moves according to the action.
