Is-sinjal għal FILTER għandu tlett partijiet. (i) L-ewwel l-idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ C bis-swaba’ ftit mifrudin u bil-pala ta’ id tħares lejn l-oħra. L-idejn jersqu dwar xulxin bis-swaba’ ta’ C ta’ id fuq l-id l-oħra. L-id ta’ fuq titla’ ftit ’il fuq. (ii) Imbagħad, l-idejn jinbidlu fil-forma ta’ 5 laxka u bil-pala tħares ’il fuq jitilgħu djagonalment lejn il-ġnub biex jiffurmaw V. (iii) Fl-aħħar, id waħda tibqa’ wieqfa fil-post waqt li l-id l-oħra tinbidel għal forma ta’ A bis-saba’ l-kbir maħruġ u bil-pala tħares ’il barra. L-id iddur biex is-saba’ l-kbir jipponta djagonalment lejn l-id il-wieqfa.
The sign for FILTER has three parts. (i) First, the hands take the shape of C with fingers parted a little and with the palms facing each other. The hands move around each other so that the C of one hand is placed over the other. The hand at the top moves up a little. (ii) Then the hands change to the shape of loose 5 with palms facing upwards and move diagonally up towards the sides to form a V shape. (iii) Finally, one hand stays where it is whilst the other hand changes to an A shape with the thumb extended and palm facing outwards. The hand turns so that the thumb points diagonally towards the stationary hand.
