Is-sinjal għal FOTOGRAFU għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel parti ssir biż-żewġ idejn li jieħdu l-forma ta’ C bil-pala tħares ’il barra. L-idejn jitbandlu ftit ’il fuq u ’l isfel, waħda ftit wara l-oħra ftit distanza minn xulxin livell tal-wiċċ. (ii) Imbagħad isir is-sinjal għal PERSUNA. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ Ċ magħluqa bil-pala tħares ’il barra. L-id tinżel dritt ’l isfel fil-ġenb.
Hemm varjazzjonijiet għal dan is-sinjal minħabba l-bidla fit-teknoloġija. Wieħed isir biż-żewġ idejn forma ta’ Ċ kbira bil-pala tħares ’il barra. L-idejn jitqiegħdu quddiem il-wiċċ qishom qed iżommu kamera. Il-werrej tal-id id-dominanti tagħfas ’l isfel qisu qed jagħfas il-buttuna tal-kamera biex jieħu ritratt. Varjazzoni oħra ssir b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluq u titqiegħed bil-pala ta’ id tħares lejn il-ġenb. Imbagħad ikun hemm għafsa tal-werrej.
The sign for PHOTOGRAPHER has two parts. (i) The first part is made with both hands in the shape of C with palms facing outwards. The hands swing a little up and down, one slightly after the other and a little distance away from each other at face level. (ii) Then the sign for PERSON is made. One hand takes the shape of closed C with the palm facing outwards. The hand moves down at the side.
There are variations of this sign as a result of changing technology. One is made with both hands in the shape of large C with the palm facing outwards. The hands are placed in front of the face as though holding a camera. The index finger of the dominant hand pushes downwards as though pressing the button to take the photograph. A second variation is made with one hand that takes the shape of closed 5 with the index finger pressing down.
