Is-sinjal għal GAMBLU magħmul minn żewġ partijiet: (jew i) Fl-ewwel parti id waħda timtedd u tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluq bil-pala ta’ l-id tħares ‘l isfel. L-id timxi ma’ l-għoli ta’ l-ispalla fid-direzzjoni opposta waqt li tmil mill-ġnub jew ’l fuq u ’l isfel f’linja kkurvata. Dan ifakkrek fil-baħar. (jew i) Fit-tieni parti, d-driegħ jistira ‘l fuq biex ikun f’linja vertikali u l-id tieħu l-forma ta’ X. Imbagħad timxi ‘l fuq u ‘l isfel fid-direzzjoni ta’ l-ispalla l-oħra. Dan il-moviment jiġi ripetut darbtejn.
Varjant ta’ dan is-sinjal isir bit-tieni parti biss.
Id-daqs tal-gamblu jintwera b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ Ċ magħluqa għal gamblu żgħir u l-forma ta’ Ċ miftuħa għal gamblu kbir.
Għall-plural is-sinjal għal ĦAFNA jiġi wara s-sinjal għal GAMBLU. L-id forma ta’ X tista’ titpoġġa f’ħafna postijiet fiż-żona tas-sinjali qisu hemmhekk qed jitqiegħdu ħafna gambli.
L-id tieħu l-forma ta’ X biex tintuża bħala classifier meta ssir referenza għal xi azzjoni jew xi kwalità tal-gamblu fis-sentenza.
The sign for PRAWN is made up of two parts: (jew i) In the first part one arm lies horizontally in front with the hand in the shape of closed 5, palm downwards, and moves up and down in a curved line in the opposite direction, resembling the waves. (jew ii) In the second part the arm is stretched up vertically from the elbow. The hand takes an X shape and moves up and down and along in the direction of the other shoulder. This movement is repeated twice.
A variant of the sign is made with only the second part.
The size of the prawn is expressed by the use of the C shaped hand, closed for a small prawn and open for a large prawn.
The plural is expressed by the sign for MANY following the sign for PRAWN. The hand in the X shape can be placed in different places in the signing space as though several prawns were being placed there.
The hand in the shape of X is used as a classifier when reference is made to some action or quality of the prawn in a sentence.
