Hemm żewġ sinjali għal GARAXX. L-ewwel sinjal jintuża iktar għall-garaxx ta’ persuna jew familja. Dan is-sinjal għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel parti ssir biż-żewġ idejn li jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluqa. L-idejn jimxu mil-livell tar-ras u bil-pala tal-id tħares ’il barra u joħorġu ftit lejn il-ġnub imbagħad ’l isfel biex jiffurmaw bħall-kontorn ta’ kamra. (ii) Imbagħad, id waħda bl-istess forma ta’ 5 magħluqa timxi ’l quddiem.
It-tieni sinjali għandu tlett partijiet. (i) L-ewwel parti ssir biż-żewġ idejn li jieħdu l-forma ta’ 1 bil-pala tal-id tħares ’il barra. Din il-parti tas-sinjal l-istess bħall-ewwel sinjal billi jagħmel bħall-kontorn ta’ kamra. (ii) Imbagħad isir sinjal imqassar għal KAROZZA, jiġifieri l-idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ A bil-pala ta’ id tħares lejn il-pala tal-id l-oħra. L-idejn jiċċaqilqu ’il fuq u ’l isfel, id waħda tiela’ meta l-oħra tinżel, bħallikieku qed isuqu. (iii) It-tielet parti ssir biż-żewġ idejn li jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluqa u bil-pala tħares ’l isfel. Id waħda tieqaf fil-għoli u l-oħra tgħaddi minn taħtha,’l quddiem u għan-niżla .
There are two signs for GARAGE. The first sign is used more for an individual’s or a family’s garage. This sign has two parts. (i) The first part is made with both hands that take the shape of closed 5. The hands move at head level with the palms facing outwards. The hands moveout to the sides and then downwards to form the outline of a room. (ii) Then one hand, still in the shape of closed 5, moves forward.
The second sign has three parts. (i) The first part is made with both hands that take the shape of 1 with palms facing outwards. The index fingers touch each other and then move to the side and downwards, forming a right angle, thus forming the outline of a room. (ii) The second part of the sign is a shortened version of the sign for CAR, that is, the hands take the shape for A with palms facing each other. The hands move up and down, one up and the other down, as though driving. (iii) The third part is made with both hands in the shape of closed 5 with palms facing downwards. One hand lies stationary at a high level whilst the other moves forward at a slope downwards from underneath the stationary hand.
