Is-sinjal għal GĦALQA għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) Fl-ewwel parti l-idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 1 bil-pala tal-id tħares ’l isfel. L-idejn jimxu min-nofs lejn il-ġnub imbagħad ikomplu dritt lura u fl-aħħar jerġgħu lejn in-nofs. B’hekk ikunu għamlu forma ta’ kwadru. (ii) Imbagħad, iż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ A bil-pala tħares laġenba. Id waħda titqiegħed iktar ’il fuq mill-oħra, imbagħad jinżlu flimkien ’il quddiem u ’l isfel bħallikieku qed jagħżqu fl-għalqa.
The sign for FIELD has two parts. (i) First the hands take the shape of 1 with the palms facing downwards at the front. They move from the middle to the sides then straight back and then turn to meet in the middle. Thus they form a square like a box or a room. (ii) The second part is made with both hands in the shape of A with the palm facing sideways. One hand is placed higher than the the other and they both move forward and down as though digging the field.
