Is-sinjal għal GĦARUSA għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għal MARA. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 1 bil-pala tħares ’il barra. Il-werrej jinżel mal-ħadd tal-wiċċ qisu qed imellsu. (ii) Imbagħad l-idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 1 bil-pala tħares ’l isfel u iħokku ma’ xulxin waqt li l-werrejja jimxu dritt, wieħed ’il quddiem u l-ieħor lura darbtejn jew iktar.
The sign for FIANCÉE has two parts. (i) First, the sign for WOMAN is made with one hand in the shape for 1 with palm facing outwards. The index finger strokes the cheek downwards. Then both hands take the shape of 1 with the palms facing downwards whilst the index fingers rub each other lightly as one moves forward and the other backwards twice or more.
