Is-sinjal għal GĦEDEWWA magħmul minn żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal imqassar għal NIES. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluq bil-pala tħares ’l isfel u bil-ponot tas-swaba jħarsu lejn il-ġenb. L-id timxi dritt lejn il-ġenb imma bi skossi żgħar f’punti differenti matul it-triq. (ii) Fit-tieni parti jsir is-sinjal għal KONTRA. Iż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ U mgħawwġa bil-pala ta’ id tħares lejn il-pala tal-id l-oħra u jersqu lejn xulxin mill-ġnub. L-espressjoni tal-wiċċ turi stmerrija l-iktar bit-tikmix tal-ħuġbejn.
The sign for ENEMIES consists of two parts. (i) First the sign for PEOPLE is made with one hand that takes the shape of closed 5 with the palm facing downwards and fingertips pointing to the side. The hand moves straight towards the other side with light jerks downwards at different points along the way. (ii) The second part is the sign for AGAINST. Both hands take the shape of clawed U with palms facing and move they towards each other from the sides. The facial expression shows disgust particularly through the creasing of the eyebrows.
