Is-sinjal għal HOSTEL għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għal LUKANDA biż-żewġ idejn li jieħdu l-forma ta’ U bil-pala ta’ id tħares lejn l-oħra. L-idejn jitilgħu ’l fuq minn livell ’l isfel mill-qadd sa’ livell mar-ras. (ii) Fil-pront, l-idejn jinbidlu għall-forma ta’ 5 u jinżlu mill-polz biex is-swaba’ jiltaqgħu fuq l-istess livell tar-ras biex jiffurmaw V kbira bil-maqlub. Ix-xufftejn jiffurmaw il-kelma ‘hostel’, sillaba waqt kull parti tas-sinjal.
The sign for HOSTEL has two parts. (i) First, the sign for HOTEL is made with both hands in the shape of U with palms facing each other. The hands move up from a level lower than the waist to head level. (ii) The hands quickly change to the shape of 5 promptly and bend at the wrists so that the fingers meet at the same head level to form a large upside down V. The lips form the shape of the word ‘hostel’, one syllable during each sign component.
