Is-sinjal għal ŻURRIEQ għandu tlett partijiet. (i) L-ewwel id waħda forma ta’ 1 bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa titla’ qrib l-għajn u tagħti daqqa ħafifa fuq il-ħadd. (ii) Imbagħad il-werrej idur bil-pala tħares lejn il-ġenb u jinżel waqt li jifforma l-ittra Z. (iii) Fl-aħħar, l-id tinbidel fil-forma ta’ 5 magħluqa bil-pala tħares ’l isfel, togħla f’kurva u tkompli miexja ’l quddiem u ’l isfel.

The sign for ŻURRIEQ consists of three parts. (i) First one hand takes the shape of 1 with palm facing inwards near the eye and hits the cheek lightly. (ii) Then the index finger turns with palm facing sideways and moves down whilst forming the letter Z. (iii) Finally, the hand changes to a closed 5 with palm facing downwards, rises in a curve and continues forward and downwards.
The sign is sometimes shortened.
