Hemm żewġ sinjali differenti għal IL-ĦADD. L-ewwel sinjal isir b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ 1 (għan-numru 1) bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa u d-driegħ wieqaf ’il fuq mill-minkeb. L-id timxi lejn il-ġenb l-ieħor waqt li l-minkeb jibqa’ fil-post. Bil-Malti, l-ismijiet tal-ġranet tal-ġimgħa, mill-Ħadd sas-Sibt, huma l-ismijiet għan-numri 1 sa’ 7. It-tieni sinjal jixbaħ ir-RADD TAS-SALIB. Id-waħda tieħu l-forma ta‘ 5 bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa. L-id tmur l-ewwel quddiem il-ġbin, imbagħad quddiem is-sider, imbagħad quddiem ix-xellug tas-sider, u fl-aħħar quddiem il-lemin tas-sider. Dan is-sinjal qadim u jirrifletti żmien meta l-Ħadd kien assoċjat mal-knisja qabel kollox.
There are two different signs for SUNDAY. The first sign is made with one hand that takes the shape of V (for the number 1) with palm facing inwards and arm vertically oriented from the elbow. The hand moves towards the other side whilst the elbow stays in place. In Maltese the names for the days from Monday to Thursday are the numbers 1 to 7. The second sign resembles making the sign of the cross. One hand takes the shape of 5 with the palm facing inwards. The hand first goes in front of the forehead, then in front of the chest, then in front of the left of the chest and finally in front of the right of the chest. This sign is much older and reflects a time when Sunday was associated with church going above everything else.
