Is-sinjal għal INFERN isir b’id waħda fil-forma ta’ qrun, jiġifieri bis-saba’ ż-żgħir u l-werrej stirati u bis-swaba’ l-oħra jmissu l-pala. L-id titqiegħed bil-pala tħares ’il barra fuq ir-ras. Imbagħad l-id tinżel ’l isfel ħafna u l-pala tiġi tħares ’l isfel jew ftit ’il ġewwa. Is-swaba’ jiġu jħarsu ’l isfel waqt li l-għajnejn iħarsu ’l isfel lejn l-id.
Varjazzjoni ta’ dan is-sinjal isir billi, fl-ewwel parti, l-id titqiegħed fil-ġenb, livell ma’ l-ispalla u milwija mill-polz biex il-pala tħares ’il ġewwa flok fuq ir-ras qabel ma tinżel ’l isfel u s-swaba’ jħarsu ’l isfel.
The sign for HELL is made with one hand in the shape of a horn, that is with the index and little fingers stretched out and the other fingers touching the palm. The hand is placed on the head with palm facing outwards. Then the hand moves down so that the palm faces down or a little to the side. The fingers point downwards whilst the signer’s eyes look down towards the hand.
A variation of this sign is made such that, in the first part of the sign, the hand is placed at shoulder level instead of on the head. The hand is bent at the wrist such that the palm faces inwards before moving downwards and the fingers point downwards.
