Is-sinjal għal INTERESSI għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal imqassar għal BANK. Id waħda tieqaf bil-forma ta’ 5 bil-pala tħares ’il fuq. L-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ ponn bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa. Din l-id tinżel u tagħti daqqa ’l isfel fuq il-pala tal-id il-wieqfa. (ii) Imbagħad isir is-sinjal għal PERSENTAĠĠ. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ F imma bis-saba’ l-kbir u l-werrej jiffurmaw ċirku u bil-pala tħares ’il barra. L-id timxi ’l isfel waqt li tixxejjer ftit.
The sign for INTEREST has two parts. (i) First the shortened sign for BANK is made with one hand that takes the shape of 5 with palm facing upwards. The other hand takes the shape of a fist with palm facing inwards. This hand moves down and hits the palm of the stationary hand. (ii) Then the sign for PERCENTAGE is made with one hand in the shape of F but with thumb and index finger forming a circle and palm facing outwards. The hand moves downwards whilst swaying a little.
