Is- sinjali għal IRAQ għandu zewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel parti issir b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ L imma bil-werrej imiss is-saba’ l-kbir. Is-swaba imissu l-parti tal-wiċċ fuq ix-xoffa u taħt l-imnieħer u imbagħad jinfetħu qisu qed jiddrittaw l-mustaċċi. (ii) It-tieni parti ssir b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluq bil-pala ta’ l-id tħares ’il barra. Il-ġenb tal-werrej imiss man-ngħas ġentilment bħal salut tas-suldati.
The sign for IRAQ has two parts. (i) The first part is made with one hand that takes the shape of L but with thumb and index finger touching. The fingers touch the skin over the upper lip, that is, under the nose. Then they move away from each other as though straightening the moustache. (ii) The second part is made with one hand in the shape of closed 5 with the palm facing outwards. The side of the index finger brushes against the side of the forehead as in a military salute.
