Bil-Malti, l-ismijiet tal-ġranet tal-ġimgħa, mill-Ħadd sas-Sibt, huma l-ismijiet għan-numri 1 sa’ 7. Hemm żewġ sinjali għal IS-SIBT. L-ewwel wieħed isir b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ 6, bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa u d-driegħ wieqaf ’il fuq mill-minkeb. L-id timxi lejn il-ġenb l-ieħor waqt li l-minkeb jibqa’ fil-post. It-tieni sinjal huwa iktar qadim. Juża żewġ idejn biex jifforma sinjal għal 6, jiġifieri id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ ponn bis-saba’ l-kbir maħruġ ’il barra u l-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta‘ 5. L-idejn jinżlu ’l isfel flimkien bil-pala tħares ’il barra mil-livell tal-ispalel u jiġu bil-pala tħares ’l isfel.

In Maltese the names for the days of the week, from Sunday to Saturday are the numbers 1 to 7. The sign for SATURDAY is made with one hand that takes the shape of 7 with fingers apart and with palm facing inwards and arm vertically oriented from the elbow. The hand moves towards the other side whilst the elbow stays in place. The second sign is older. It uses both hands to make the sign for 6, that is, one hand takes the shape of a fist with the thumb extended and the other hand takes the shape of 5. The hands move down together from shoulder level, starting with palms facing outwards, and end up with palms facing downwards.
