Is-sinjal għal IT-TMIEN għandu żewġ partijiet li jingħaqdu b’moviment wieħed. L-ewwel isir sinjal jixbaħ dak għal TMIENJA b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ Ħ quddiem l-ispalla tal-istess naħa imma bil-pala tħares ’il barra. It-tlett iswaba’ tal-Ħ jippuntaw djagonalment lejn il-ġenb. Imbagħad, l-id iddur malajr biex il-pala tiġi tħares ’il ġewwa, jiġifieri s-sinjal għal TMIENJA. Din l-aħħar parti tibdel in-numru kardinali għal numru ordinali.
The sign for EIGHTH has two parts that merge into one. First a sign similar to that for EIGHT is made with one hand that takes the form of Ħ in front of the shoulder of the same side but with the palm facing outwards and the fingers of the Ħ-shape pointing diagonally to the side. Then the hand turns quickly and forms the sign for EIGHT with the palm facing inwards and the Ħ fingers pointing to the side. This last part turns cardinal numbers into ordinals.
