Is-sinjal għal KAFETTERIJA għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir isir is-sinjal (sħiħ jew imqassar) għal STABBILIMENT. Iż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l- forma ta’ 1 bil-pala tal-id tħares ’il barra. Il-werrej ta’ id imiss mal-werrej tal-id l-oħra livell mal-wiċċ. L-idejn jitbiegħdu laġenba u ’l isfel u jiffurmaw linja b’angolu rett. (ii) Imbagħad isir is-sinjal għal KAFÈ. Id waħda tieqaf fuq quddiem bil-pala tħares ’il fuq qisha qed iżżomm plattina. L-id l-oħra, bil-pala tħares laġenba, tieħu l-forma ta’ K bil-ponot tas-swaba jħarsu lejn il-ġenb waqt li l-id titla’ minn fuq l-id il-wieqfa għal ħdejn il-ħalq.
The sign for CAFETERIA consists of two parts. (i) First the (whole or shortened) sign for ESTABLISHMENT is made with both hands in the shape of 1 with palms facing outwards. The index fingers touch and then move away to the side and then downwards to form right angles. (ii) Then the sign for COFFEE is made with one hand held stationary at chest level with palm facing upwards as though holding a saucer. The other hand takes the shape of K, with palm and fingertips facing sideways. The hand moves up from the stationary hand to near the mouth.
