Is-sinjal għal KARTOLERIJA jew STATIONERY għandu tlett partijiet. (i) L-ewwel l-idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 bis-swaba’ mifrudin u jduru ftit fuq quddiem, waħda tibda toħroġ u l-oħra tidħol, it-tnejn bil-pala tħares il-ġewwa. (ii) Imbagħad isir is-sinjal għal BIRO b’id waħda forma ta’ ponn bis-saba’ l-kbir maħruġ ’il fuq, fuq il-ġenb bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa. L-id tinżel djagonalment ’l isfel u lejn in-nofs waqt li s-saba’ l-kbir jagħfas ’l isfel. (iii) Fl-aħħar isir is-sinjal imqassar għal KITEB b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ T bil-pala tħares ’isfel u bis-saba’ l-kbir u l-werrej jiffurmaw ċirku. Din l-id timxi ftit lejn il-ġenb.
The sign for STATIONERY has three parts. (i) First, the hands take the shape of 5 with fingers apart. The hands rotate a little at the front, one moving forwards and the other backwards, both with palms facing inwards. (ii) Then the sign for BIRO is made with one hand in the shape of a fist with the thumb extended upwards at the side with the palm facing inwards. The hand moves diagonally downwards and towards the middle whilst the thumb pushes downwards. (iii) Finally, the reduced sign for WRITE is made with one hand that takes the shape of T with palm facing downwards and with the thumb and index finger forming a circle. This hand moves a little to the side.
