The sign for COMPLICATION is made with both hands. One hand takes the shape of 5 and is held stationary with fingertips pointing upwards and with the palm facing the side. The other hand takes the shape of a fist with the thumb extended. The thumb of this hand with palm facing outwards and hits the palm of the stationary hand, then turns so the palm faces inwards and the thumb hits the palm again. Finally the hand turns again so the palm faces outwards and the thumb hits the palm again.
