Is-sinjal għal L-GĦAXAR għandu żewġ partijiet li jingħaqdu b’moviment wieħed. L-ewwel isir sinjal għal GĦAXRA biż-żewġ idejn. L-id il-leminija tieħu l-forma tas-sinjal għal WIEĦED, jiġifieri b’id waħda li tieqaf quddiem bil-pala tħares ’il barra u bil-werrej jieqaf bil-ponta tħares ’il fuq. L-id ix-xellugija tieħu l-forma tas-sinjal għal ŻERO, jiġifieri bl-id tieħu l-forma ta O, imma bil-pala tħares ’il barra u bis-swaba’ kkurvati u bil-ponot tas-saba’ l-kbir u tal-werrej imissu. Imbagħad l-idejn it-tnejn iduru malajr biex il-pala ta’ id tiġi tħares lejn il-pala l-oħra jew iħarsu ’l ġewwa. Din l-aħħar parti tibdel in-numru kardinali għal numru ordinali.

The sign for TENTH has two parts that merge into one. First, the sign for TEN is made with both hands. The right hand takes the shape of the sign for ONE with one hand upright but with the palm facing outwards. The index finger points upwards. The left hand makes the shape of the sign for ZERO, that is, the shape of O, but with the palm facing outwards and the fingers curved. The fingertips of the thumb and the index finger touch. Then the hands quickly turn so that the palms face each other or inwards. This last part turns cardinal numbers into ordinals.
